DescriptionJaan Mannik of OSS will present the features and benefits of composable infrastructure data center architectures. Since 2012, hyperconverged servers, with large numbers of CPU, GPU, storage and networking resources, have formed the foundation of GPU accelerated data center architecture for the most demanding applications. These highly integrated, and often expensive, servers operate efficiently when used in a cluster with a single application. The newest solution involves disaggregating the server resources into a “composable HPC infrastructure.” With composable infrastructure, the applications dynamically allocate the optimal required peripheral hardware to each server from pools of NVMe flash storage, GPU accelerators and Networking resources. This approach can significantly reduce CAPEX and OPEX while doubling mixed-use datacenter efficiency.
