DescriptionOracle Cloud Infrastructure offers bare metal computing on a public cloud. This talk will examine the performance impact of running High Performance Computing and GPU applications on bare metal compute nodes as compared to running in a virtualized environment. Oracles bare metal compute will be demonstrated and the production HPC workloads of a few customers will be discussed. HPC architecture for a bare metal cloud with a managed file service will be discussed alongside an analysis of the changing HPC paradigms for the cloud.
