DescriptionThe PRACE 2 Programme started in March 2017 and by now almost all our members have joined this, including Luxembourg, a new member since December last year.
In the course of this year, several of the systems hosted by PRACE will be upgraded, and the total capacity offered via the PRACE Calls for Proposals will significantly grow.
These upgrades are a clear indication of Europe’s HPC ecosystem moving towards exa-scale. PRACE is very supportive of the EC initiative, the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, in that respect. We expect our members to exchange the latest technological information to make procurement of pre-exascale systems soon a reality. And we are especially keen to make sure that these resources will be accessible and usable by scientists.
