Michael Kluge heads the department for System and Service design at the Center for Information Services and High Performance Computing (ZIH) at TU Dresden. Michael received a Master's degree in Information Systems Technology in 2004 and a PhD in Computer Science from the Technische Universität Dresden in 2011. His research focuses on the performance analysis of parallel file systems and the development of tools to support I/O centric analysis approaches. To combine the best of the two worlds of current HPC and Big Data technologies, he focuses on creating system designs that usable, include the latest technology, are open for a broad range of use cases, and are upgradeable.
