Jeff Hollingsworth serves as the Interim Chief Information Officer for the University of Maryland. He is also a Professor in the Computer Science Department. He received his PhD and MS degrees in computer sciences from the University of Wisconsin. He received a B. S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He has conducted research in the area of High Performance Computing (HPC) including performance measurement (Paradyn), instrumentation (Dyninst), and auto-tuning (Active Harmony). He is the Chair of the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on HPC and was general chair of SC’12.
