Focus Session: Challenges for Developing & Supporting HPC Applications
Event TypeFocus Session
TimeWednesday, June 27th11am - 12:30pm
LocationPanorama 3
DescriptionDeveloping and supporting HPC applications requires more than just skill in using programming systems such as MPI, OpenMP, and CUDA. Some of the issues that HPC users face every day include data management, performance and correctness debugging, integration with workflows, and limitations in the available programming systems and their implementations. This session will describe current work to address some of these issues and provide a forum for the audience to ask questions about the issues they face in developing and supporting HPC applications.
